Origen Air August Updates

We had a busy month at Origen Air! In this blog post, you will find updates on our new business plan, our 2020 pitch video, and new sustainable solutions on the horizon. Our goal is to keep you informed as we continue to grow and make positive changes in developing our technologies.

New Reality New Plan

The Origen Air team recently completed a comprehensive business plan overhaul. This strategic decision was made by our executive team to properly address the massive changes our economy faces as a result of COVID-19.

As a cleantech start-up, we pride ourselves on being nimble and flexible to change. This pandemic has not only changed the rules, it has changed the actual game. At Origen Air, we are optimistic that a more cooperative and collaborative business culture is on the horizon. Our revamped business plan reflects these beliefs and the opportunities that evolve from this new way of thinking about the problems and opportunities facing our societies and economies.

Origen Air uses plant-based technologies to preserve and protect humans from the dangers of polluted indoor air. You can find out more about our smart, living air purification solutions by watching our latest video featuring our CEO, Susan Blanchet.

The Social Movement

We are excited to announce that our CEO, Susan Blanchet, will be a participant in Season 2 of The Social Movement, produced by Chris LaVoie. It brings together 50 top-level CEOs working to solve social, environmental, and economic issues that are harming the planet. These issues include income inequality, access to health care, hunger, climate change, racism, pandemics, and support for homeless people.

Summary

It has been another busy and productive month for Origen Air! We have brought on six new volunteers to help take our business development and marketing to new heights. As we continue to push the envelope for both cleaner air and cleaner surfaces around the world, we are also ensuring we stick to our values of safe, inclusive, and diverse worksites. As such, we recently joined the Builders Code Pledge. Together, we are helping to build a construction industry that works for everyone.

We are also in the process of applying for B-Corporation Certification. Certified B Corporations focus on the triple bottom line, balancing social purpose, environmental standards, and profit. B-Corps are legally required to consider the impact of their decisions on their workers, customers, suppliers, community, and the environment. This is a community of leaders, driving a global movement of people using business as a force for good.

Finally, we are excited to be applying for The Solar Impulse Foundation Label as one of the 1,000 new profitable solutions to help protect the environment. The Solar Impulse Foundation created the first fully solar powered airplane to fly around the world. Now, they are boosting the adoption of new environmental solutions globally. We currently have our Solar Impulse Badge and are looking to push the envelope further. The future can be written in renewable energy. A challenge we can all take part in together.
