Origen Air Works With Alacrity To Bring Clean Air Inside
Origen Air is proud to be working closely with Alacrity Canada to foster a cleaner indoor air environment for all. Over the past few months, Alacrity advisors have helped guide Origen Air in business development solutions to take our smart, living air purifiers to a new level. With a sustainable business plan in place, Origen Air is investment ready with the goal of launching commercially in 2021.
Alacrity’s Connection With Origen Air
Alacrity Canada helps elevate the success of Western Canadian technology companies by providing support, connections, and mentorship to promising entrepreneurs. They also help connect these individuals with the venture capital funding needed to develop thriving local tech companies.
When asked about their connection with the advisors, co-founder Susan Blanchet said, “We have come so far since working with Alacrity. The steps we’ve taken to develop our business plan in conjunction with our connections to people, mentors, and companies with a similar environmentally-conscious mindset has helped us immensely. We can’t wait to see how we continue to grow as a company from here.”
Origen Air’s Growth Focus
As a smart, living, air purification company, Origen Air actively removes volatile organic compounds (VOCs), carbon dioxide, and other pathogens from indoor air spaces. These invisible threats can cause short-term health issues such as irritation of the eyes, nose and throat, headaches, dizziness, and fatigue. Symptoms of some diseases, including asthma, hypersensitivity pneumonitis and humidifier fever, may also show up soon after exposure to some indoor air pollutants (US Environmental Protection Agency, 2020). Origen strives to reduce these health issues by targeting the workplace wellness market with smart, living, air purifier solutions.
When asked about how Alacrity has helped shape their target market goals, co-founder Andrew Crawford said, “With Alacrity’s guidance and external research, we have been able to hone in our target market to focus on the workplace wellness, carbon offset, and smart air purification markets. With the onslaught of climate change and airborne pathogens, both of these markets are rapidly expanding.”
